ETC services earn 92 percent approval in 2025
From 21 October to 14 November 2025, the ETC/ETS annual user satisfaction surveys gathered feedback from 600 respondents across operations in Nigeria, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, and Ukraine, assessing services, coordination, information management, and overall cluster support effectiveness. Results showed a 92% average satisfaction rate, exceeding the 80% baseline target and two points higher than last year. This marks the fourth consecutive year above 90%, underscoring strong recognition of ETC partners and national teams delivering shared communications services in highly challenging humanitarian contexts.
Country results highlighted resilience and progress: Nigeria reported 369 respondents with 92% satisfaction; Ukraine and Palestine (Gaza) achieved the highest satisfaction at 96%, with Gaza showing a remarkable 13‑point increase despite immense challenges. Sudan rose from 85% in 2024 to 89% this year, while Syria improved from 85% to 88% despite funding shortfalls and evolving operational difficulties.
Coordination and information management activities continue to excel, with satisfaction ratings of 91% and 96% respectively, both higher than 2024. Internet connectivity was highly rated in Ukraine (98%) and Sudan (91%), while Nigeria (88%) and Syria (72%) faced reduced speeds in some areas.
Reports are being drafted to document achievements and guide future enhancements, including a more responsive helpdesk, improved internet stability and speed, strengthened security communications, and regular training sessions to build user capacity.
While conditions prevented survey rollout in Yemen, the ETC remains committed to engaging stakeholders to ensure services remain relevant and responsive. Ongoing resource and funding limitations, however, continue to restrict the scope and long‑term viability of operations.
