The Global ETC Coordinator visited Syria, to witness for himself the ETC’s successes within a complex conflict environment. A rare opportunity to visit Homs provided a window into the ETC’s impact on communications across the western Syrian city, where the ETC has established and maintains radio network services for the entire humanitarian community. Since the start of the year, the ETC has also brought reliable connectivity for humanitarian organizations operating out of the common hub. In a city devastated by conflict and with thousands planning to return, connecting humanitarians remains ever more critical.
