ETC Operations Course

As the use of ICT services becomes more critical for effective humanitarian emergency response, so too is the need to share knowledge and experience for the provision of these services. The ETC Operations course is designed to develop personnel so they can contribute to ETC operations or other inter-agency ICT emergency response operations.
Target Audience
Humanitarian responders who are likely to deploy with the ETC or as part of other inter-agency ICT emergency responses. Applicants should be experienced professionals with some experience operating in an emergency response environment and who are capable and committed to be deployed to or support ICT response to emergencies.

Course Aim
To equip humanitarian responders with the knowledge, skills, attitude, and tools to enable them to support ETC operations or other inter-agency ICT emergency response operations.

Format and Language
This is a blended training programme which includes self-paced learning and virtual sessions followed by a 3-day classroom training. Participants will be engaged in interaction and practical exercises in the classroom, while they will be expected to complete self-study modules and participate in virtual discussions prior to the classroom as part of the course syllabus. The course will be delivered in English.
