The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is hosting a Regional Pacific Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) and Logistics Cluster Workshop in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The ETC programme runs from 12-14 June 2017. The event is being run with the support of the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and the Vanuatu Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO).

The joint regional workshop will bring together stakeholders (including NDMO’s, government ministries, regulators, NGOs, the private sector and UN agencies) from the Pacific with a focus on localisation and adapting regional initiatives to the country-level. Through the cluster approach we aim to strengthen national and provincial coordination in the areas of emergency telecommunications and logistics.
