Al-Hol camp in north-east Syria is home to 55,000 Syrians and Iraqis fleeing conflict.
Recently, there was a need to ramp up safety and security in the camp.
Guided by the Telecommunications Security Standards service {TESS+} and in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross and UNICEF, the ETC in Syria set up radio coverage across Al-Hol camp and the surrounding area, linking responders to the nearest UNDSS Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Qamishli.
Enhanced safety is now just a radio call away.
