ETC Coordination Course
As the provision and use of ICT services becomes more critical for effective humanitarian emergency response, so too is the effective leadership and coordination for providing these services. The ETC Coordination course is designed to equip humanitarian responders with the knowledge and tools to enable them to coordinate or support the coordination of inter-agency ICT emergency operations.
Target Audience
Humanitarian responders who are likely to coordinate or support the coordination of ETC or other inter-agency ICT emergency responses. Applicants should be experienced professionals with some experience of operating in an emergency response environment and who are capable and committed to be deployed to or support ICT response to emergencies.

Objective
To equip humanitarian responders with the knowledge, skills, attitude, and tools to enable them to coordinate, or support the coordination of ETC or other inter-agency ICT emergency response operations.
Learning Objectives
During and after the training, participants will be able to:
Utilise a concept of operations (CONOPs) to effectively communicate the planning and design of an ETC response |
Initiate a budget, raise funds, and monitor expenses for an ETC response |
Employ a staffing plan and mobilize personnel for an ETC response |
Identify equipment and services requirements and mobilize them through available sources |
Effectively plan, implement, manage, and monitor ETC response projects |
Coordinate with stakeholders within the context of ETC response operations |
Communicate information and advocate ETC response activities |

Format and Language
This is a blended training programme which includes self-paced learning and virtual sessions followed by a 3-day classroom training. Participants will be engaged in interaction and practical exercises in the classroom, while they will be expected to complete self-study modules and participate in virtual discussions prior to the classroom as part of the course syllabus. The course will be delivered in English.
