This course will provide essential and basic knowledge about the importance and implementation of radio-based Security Communications Systems.

 

 

Goals

The Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) supports security communications systems (SCS) during an emergency and provides common security communications to humanitarian responders in identified locations. This course is designed to provide essential and basic knowledge about the importance and implementation of radio-based Security Communications Systems.

 

Training course overview

 

Modules in the course:

  1. Radio-based Security Communications Systems: This module will give you a good understanding of radio-based Security Communications Systems (SCS) and their role in ensuring staff safety in humanitarian response operations.
  2. VHF Radio Networks: This module will give you a good understanding of how VHF radio networks function and the steps required for configuring radios used within the radio network.
  3. VHF Repeater Systems: This module will give you a good understanding of how VHF repeater systems function and how to configure these system for use within the radio network.
  4. Course Assessment: This module will assess your understanding of the contents of the course.

 

After passing the assessment you will be able to save or print your certificate.
