There is an increase in the frequency and severity of disasters across the world, and emergency preparedness is a powerful way to mitigate risks and improve the capacity of governments and communities. Identifying high-risk countries poses challenges, and to meet this, the Global ETC has developed a robust methodology based on a comprehensive analysis of disaster-prone countries and their Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capabilities to identify the most ‘at-risk’ countries. This list will be used as a tool to inform the prioritization of ETC preparedness engagements.
