The Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) is currently not activated in Angola.

Within the framework of the Refugee Coordination Model, the Refugee Emergency Telecommunications Sector (RETS) has been mobilised in north-eastern Angola in response to the influx of refugees fleeing ethnic violence in the Kasai Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As a refugee situation, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is leading response efforts and while the ETC has not been activated, members of the cluster support the UNHCR-led response when and where required.
