Snapshots from the Field: Bangladesh

In a difficult and unsettling year with the coronavirus pandemic continuing to impact people across the world, the ETS is still working fast to provide critical data connectivity services across Cox’s Bazar and beyond, supporting digital assistance efforts in e-voucher outlets as well as in Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) treatment sites to support the COVID-19 response.

“The ability to communicate for the medical teams and humanitarian responders in the SARI sites is paramount. Effective communication facilitates the response and ensures information sharing among teams regardless of their location Cox's Bazar, Ukhiya, Teknaf or even in the capital Dhaka. Ultimately this saves lives,” explains Habib Shashati, ETS Coordinator in Bangladesh.
