The Remote Site on Vehicle (RSoV) solution is effective in situations where essential communication services, such as GSM networks, satellite phone coverage, and Very High Frequency (VHF) repeater coverage, are unavailable.

The RSoV kit comprises of a satellite antenna and VHF equipment, that include a VHF radio, power inverter, Wi-Fi router, and related components assembled in one protected mobile box that can be easily moved between vehicles.

In collaboration with the United Nations Department for Safety and Security (UNDSS), the ETC configured all necessary RSoV equipment and software at the Security Information and Operations Centre (SIOC) to monitor the network connectivity and ensure effective communication among humanitarian responders.
