Regional ICT Training held in Barbados
From 09 to 12 March 2026, regional ICT training in Barbados brought together 17 participants from 12 Caribbean countries to strengthen emergency communications and IT network skills. The sessions were co organized by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDMEA), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC).
Participants took part in hands-on exercises throughout the week and completed a final simulation that tested their new capabilities in a realistic emergency scenario.
This training was made possible through the support of Cisco Crisis Response, Ericsson Response, NetHope and emergency.lu, and through the continued commitment of donors including GSD, ICANN and the Government of Luxembourg.
